Animation before the 90s
Before the 90s animation had to be drawn by hand, this was because there were no computer programs to animate with.
Animation in the 90s to today
Once the 90s came around computers were more advanced than they had been previously, this led to animating software and programs which made animation a much quicker process. With the rise of computer animation new kinds of animation appeared with it as animators were not just limited by their drawing skill anymore.
